Reporting to the Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), the FP&A (Strategic Finance) Senior Analyst will support our strategic finance/FP&A team. Working cross-functionally with other departments, this individual will help evaluate and analyze the performance of strategic initiatives by building models and providing analysis to support business decisions. We are looking for a top performer with an entrepreneurial spirit and a love for data analysis and financial modeling.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze day-to-day business performance to identify insights and root causes, and work with Finance team and business leaders to make recommendations.
- Help us understand the expected financial impact of new opportunities and initiatives and present findings to the leadership team.
- Support financial reporting and streamline the monthly period-end close process by analyzing period-over-period changes and variances to budget.
- Meaningfully contribute to budgeting/forecasting processes.
- Direct and perform ad hoc financial analyses for department leaders and C-suite.
CRITICAL SKILLS
- Ability to think strategically and a practical sense of how to cut to the core issues / analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor based on audience and present confidently and cohesively.
- Well organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to partner with a range of cross functional partners (Marketing, Development, Food & Beverage, Operations), some of whom will have limited financial knowledge.
- Ability to work independently with little direct supervision.
- Deep expertise in MS Excel (including building dynamic financial models) and PowerPoint. SQL knowledge a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-2 years of Investment Banking, Consulting, or Corporate Finance / FP&A experience required.
- BA/BS in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or related quantitative field.
- Retail or hospitality industry experience preferred.
Salary: $100K - $115K
